RFID does not replace barcode, it sits beside it. Almost every S-Tech deployment uses both: RFID where counting speed pays for itself, barcode everywhere else. We supply the full barcode range and support it as part of the same system, so you are not managing two vendors.

In plain words

A barcode printer puts a machine-readable code on a label. A scanner reads it back. It needs line of sight and one item at a time, which is its limitation and also why it is cheap and reliable.

Uses a ribbon. Durable labels that survive months or years.
