Warranty & Returns
Last updated 9 September 2026. Written in plain English rather than in the usual boilerplate, because a policy nobody reads protects nobody.
Hardware warranty
Hardware carries the manufacturer's standard warranty from the date of delivery, typically twelve months unless stated otherwise in your quotation. We handle warranty claims with the manufacturer on your behalf rather than referring you to them.
What the warranty covers
Manufacturing defects and component failure under normal use. It does not cover physical damage, water ingress beyond the stated IP rating, incorrect power supply, unauthorised repair or use outside the specified environment.
Consumables
Tags, labels, ribbons, cards and batteries are consumables and are warranted against manufacturing defect on receipt, not for a period of use.
Software warranty
Software deployments include a warranty period after go-live, stated in your contract, covering defects and configuration corrections in the delivered scope. New requirements are handled as change requests.
Annual maintenance contracts
An AMC covers support, defect fixes, minor enhancements and a defined response time. Standby units for critical hardware are available under AMC at extra cost.
Returns
Standard catalogue hardware in unopened original packaging may be returned within seven days of delivery, subject to a restocking charge. Custom-encoded tags, pre-printed cards, custom-die labels and engineered systems built to your dimensions are not returnable.
Reporting a fault
Email [email protected] with the invoice number, the product, and a description of the fault. We will respond with a resolution path, and under an AMC within the contracted response time.
Read-rate commitments
Where we have committed to a read rate for a commissioned installation, we return to site and correct it at our cost if the documented rate is not met under the agreed conditions.
