Entrance, Attendance & Access Control

One credential for the gate, the door, attendance and the canteen — with a record of everything.

Most organisations end up with three separate systems at the door: one for access, one for attendance, and a register for visitors. They do not talk to each other, so nobody can answer a simple question like who is in the building right now. This solution puts all of it on one credential and one record — for societies, offices, factories and campuses.

The problem today

What it looks like before

If two or three of these describe your operation, this solution is worth a conversation. If none of them do, it probably is not.

What we hear

  • Access control, attendance and the visitor register are three systems that do not agree.

  • Fingerprint queues form at shift change, and the readers fail on wet or dusty hands.

  • Ex-employees and former tenants keep working credentials because nobody collected a card.

  • In an emergency, no one can produce a reliable list of who is inside the building.

How it works

Step by step, on site

Not an architecture diagram — the actual sequence of what happens to a physical thing.

  1. 1

    Issue one credential

An RFID card printed and encoded in-house serves as ID, door key, attendance credential and canteen wallet.

  2. 2

    Read hands-free at volume

UHF readers mark attendance as people walk in, so a shift change does not queue.

  3. 3

    Control the doors that matter

Card, biometric or two-factor at restricted doors, with rules by person, area, day and time held locally on the controller.

  4. 4

    Handle visitors properly

Kiosk or guard registration with a photo, host approval on the phone, a printed pass and automatic closure on exit.

  5. 5

    Report one record

Attendance, access and visitors come out of one database, so live headcount and an evacuation list are real.

What changes

Results and benefits

Figures come from real deployments. They depend on site conditions, which is why we commit to numbers for your site only after a trial.

Seconds
To block a lost credential everywhere
  • A single record answers who is in, who came late and who has access to what.
  • Payroll starts from real presence rather than from a self-declared sheet.
  • A lost or withdrawn card is blocked centrally and instantly.
  • Visitors are handled without a queue at the gate and without a paper register.

Example deployment

What one site looked like

Client names are withheld until we have written permission to publish them.

Manufacturing campus, 1,400 staff and 3 gates

UHF walk-through attendance at all three gates, card and biometric two-factor on the stores and server room, and a visitor kiosk at the main gate. Shift-change queueing at the gate ended, and the safety team now has a live in-premises headcount for drills and for actual incidents.

Implementation & support

How the project actually runs

Including the parts that take the longest and the parts you have to own rather than us.

  1. 1

    Door and gate survey

Every entry point classified — high volume, restricted, visitor — because they need different hardware and different rules.

  2. 2

    Credential rollout

Card printer supplied and the first issuance run done with your team, so replacements are handled in-house from day one.

  3. 3

    Hardware installation

Readers, controllers, turnstiles, barriers and locks installed, wired and commissioned.

  4. 4

    Rules and integration

Access rules, shift patterns and payroll export configured, and integration with an existing HR or payroll system built.

  5. 5

    Cutover

The new system runs alongside the old for a pay cycle before the old one is switched off.

Questions

Before you commit

Can one card work with our existing legacy readers?

Often yes, using a multi-technology card that carries LF for the old readers and UHF or HF for the new ones. That lets you migrate over time rather than replace everything at once.

What happens in a power or network failure?

Controllers hold their credential lists and event logs locally and keep working. Locks are specified fail-safe or fail-secure per door according to your fire and safety policy.

Will it feed our existing payroll?

Yes. The attendance export is produced in the format your payroll expects, or pushed via API where one exists.
